Our Most Successful Special Event

KICKS talent contest was built upon the Texaco Country Showdown, the largest Country Talent Search in the U.S..

It ran every Wednesday at the Cookhouse for eight weeks. While every show was packed, the semis and finals were SRO, which was reflected in meal and drink sales.

Our primary problem from the get-go was that the contest was unknown in Connecticut, even though it was big-time in places like Nashville, Austin, Oklahoma City, and environs with juke joints that featured Jackalopes and Armadillos as wall decor. (Unfortunately, neither species is indigenous to Connecticut.)

We rebranded the event as the Cookhouse Connecticut Country Star.

We created out own animated Guitar Star logo, building it around their logo.

We created a Country Star Personality to use on all printed and video materials.

Using our experience in creating national music events for clients like Miller Beer and AMEX, we rebranded and repositioned the entire event to work better in a small Connecticut market. And it exceeded expections.
